The Nursery

Our plant nursery is where it all starts.

We collect the seeds of a broad variety of species of trees and plants and germinate them. The seedlings are kept in bags for the first months of the plants life. When they outgrow their space some will be transplanted into bigger bags others go into the ground.

Thousands of wood trees and hundreds of fruit trees and ornamental plants have thus found their way into our own and the properties of others.

Guayacan Real is our speciality, but other native hardwood species like Cocobolo and Ronron grow very well in our area.

We experiment with the many specific characteristics of different trees and plants in our property. In order to find the best way to cultivate and combine them for different styles of landscape and use.

Over the past ten years we have learned a lot and planted even more. It's a fascinating science and with a little patience it results in an abundance of beauty, fruit and wood, offering a habitat for animals.
There are many kinds of birds and monkeys in the Codeso property and the nursery offers tree species that will attract toucans and spider monkeys to your own garden.

When it comes to the Guanacaste climate, we believe we have the experience to advise on how and what to plant. From garden design to reforestation, you can hire our knowledge and order the plant material for your project.
