Organic farm Aurelia

The organic farm Aurelia is a project of Ulf Halbgebauer.
The farm is founded with support of Codeso and the Gireloup foundation.

Mission:
The organic farm Aurelia is committed to environmental protection, coexistence of income oriented farms with nature. We use live fences, tree island and tree animal bridges instead of cleaning out the land for the cattle.

We farm animals under the standards of organic, free-range and cage-free. No hormonal or chemical means are used to increase production.

All animal food is from crops like corn, yuca and platanes planted on the farm. This ensures the quality of the food-supply for the animals. we farm cattle, chicken and in the future also pig, sheep and goat.

We seek the lowest carbon impact by producing local and for a local market without emissions due to long transport routes. We aim to supply local tourist businesses and private customers in northern Guanacaste.
